Harry Maguire reveals his priority at Manchester United

Harry Maguire has crafted himself a reputation as a ball-playing centre-back but Manchester United's third summer signing is prioritising improving the club's defensive record next season.

United confirmed Maguire's arrival from Leicester on Monday after the two clubs agreed an £80million transfer fee on Friday and the player passed his medical at Carrington on Sunday.

Maguire has signed a six-year contract at Old Trafford with the option of an extra year.

"It's a really proud moment for myself to join such a big club," Maguire said in his official unveiling video.

"You always dream of walking out at Wembley and Old Trafford they're the two big stadiums when you're a kid.

"An amazing club, it's a club I always watched and looked up to when I was younger. Now I'm part of it. The atmosphere in the stadium itself is so unique and something so special.

"Experience is a big thing. You play a lot of games as a young boy and you learn like I did in League One and moved up to the Championship. I felt that really helped me.

"First and foremost i see myself as a good defender, that's my main thing. I'm in the team to stop goals and keep clean sheets.

"I'm really proud to be here at such a big club and I'm really looking forward to getting started. I'm a team player, I'll give everything I can for the team and give everything I've got for this club."
