Harry Maguire reacts to Manchester United debut

Harry Maguire admitted he was looking forward to the Old Trafford atmosphere as he prepared to make his Manchester United debut.

The England international was handed his first start by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the game against Chelsea having made his world record transfer from Leicester in the final week of the transfer window.

"I'm really proud to join this club, it's a massive club, and I'm really looking forward to getting out there, it's a massive game to start and I'm really looking forward to it," Maguire told Sky ahead of making his debut.

The centre-back was asked if he was planning to adapt his game due to the different style United play.

"I think that's a bit of a criticism to Leicester City, under Brendan we played really high pressed really high and wanted to play on the front foot, and that's no different here," Maguire said. "Play the exact same for England under Gareth too. We want to be on the front foot and be in their half and that's what we're aiming to do and it's a big game to look forward to and I'm looking forward to it.

"The atmosphere will be unbelievable I played here last season on the opening day and I'm just looking forward to getting out there and getting three points."
