Harry Maguire publicly reveals 'big discussions' at Manchester United after Liverpool thrashing

Harry Maguire has publicly revealed 'big discussions' have taken place behind-the-scenes at Manchester United following their 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool last weekend.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job was a hot topic for discussion after the game and Manchester United have decided to stick with their man.

Up next for United after their humbling off Jurgen Klopp’s side is a trip to Tottenham and captain Maguire has called upon the club to 'come together'.

Liverpool took the lead after five minutes when Mohamed Salah set Naby Keita free to slot past David De Gea in the United goal.

The Reds dismantled United in the first half and raced into a four-goal lead going into half-time before Salah became the first opposition player in the Premier League to score a hat-trick at Old Trafford.

“To lose in the manner that we did was so disappointing," said the United skipper.

"We’ve obviously had big discussions, we’ve analysed the game and the goals and looked at how we can do better and improve.

"That’s the most important thing now, we need to come together as a group and a club.”

"We know as a group of players we need to make sure we’re together and we’re positive. It’s a tough one to move on from but we need to move on."
