Harry Maguire has revealed that Manchester United have been 'working hard' to improve defensively this week.
Liverpool humiliated United last weekend when winning 5-0 at Old Trafford, which was the largest away win in the fixture's history.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now under intense pressure following that defeat, however, his player's have also been held to account for the performance - Maguire is one player in particular that has faced criticism after struggling since his return from injury.
The United captain was poor against Leicester and Liverpool and he'll be tasked with keeping Harry Kane quiet on Saturday.
United play Tottenham away on Saturday evening and Harry Kane has revealed how he intends to stifle the centre-forward.
“Yeah, I know it’s going to be a tough game, but we’ve got our strengths ourselves," Maguire told the BBC.
“We’ve got to limit the number of chances we give him [Kane]. We know how clinical he is in front of goal, so we’ve got to play better defensively than what we have been doing.
"We’ve been working hard this week on that and I’m sure on Saturday you’ll see an improvement.
“We’ll try to keep him as far away from our goal as possible.”
