Harry Maguire has been pictured in Manchester United colours for the first time after completing his club record move from Leicester City.
Maguire becomes the most expensive defender in history after joining the Old Trafford club for £80m.
The England international played a full pre-season for the Foxes and could be in line to make his United debut against Chelsea on Sunday.
United agreed a fee with Leicester last Friday with Maguire undergoing a medical at Carrington on Sunday.
He is expected to slot in alongside £50m signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka as part of a new look backline this season, with Sweden international Victor Lindelof set to partner him at the heart of defence.
Manchester City were also interested in signing Maguire this summer with Pep Guardiola admitting his side were unable to match United’s offer.
“Maguire is an excellent, top class player,” he said after Sunday’s penalty shootout victory against Liverpool in the Community Shield. “We were interested, but we could not afford it. United can afford it.
