Mason Mount will be ready to face Germany on Tuesday night - despite not being able to train with his England team mates.
Mount is seen by Gareth Southgate as crucial to his plans and losing him was a dramatic blow as he and his Chelsea team mate Ben Chilwell were forced to self isolate for ten days.
They have both been tuning in to team meetings via Zoom, working on the pitch next to the team at St George’s Park but Public Health England rules state they cannot rejoin full training until after 23.59 on Monday night.
However, England defender Harry Maguire believes that Mount could still be involved because fitness will not be an issue and there are no fears that he will be ready.

Maguire told ITV: “For sure he's a fit lad, I think he's been doing work from a distance and working away from the group. I'm sure he's been doing a lot of running as well because there's not much you can do when you're working away from the group.
"His fitness will be there so I'm sure he'll be available, well I hope he'll be available because he's a big part of the team, as is Ben as well.
"It's been disappointing for those, we had to make sure we had to beat Czech Republic to put a smile on their faces as I'm sure they were kicking every ball watching it on TV. It's disappointing, but like I say I'm sure they'll be available.”
There is no doubt that Mount would have played against Czech Republic because of his set piece expertise and, even if Chilwell is less likely to feature, the Chelsea midfielder is clearly still very much in England’s plans despite his enforced absence.
Southgate will assess the "psychological" impact of self isolation on Mount before deciding whether to involve him.
Southgate said: "Both of them have been doing training in small groups, away from the main group so they have been able to keep up their match fitness. In terms of team selection and involvement against Germany, their quarantine ends at midnight the day before the game.
"Their involvement in the game will not only be from a physical perspective, but a psychological one too as they have been in a room on their own for a long period of time, therefore we have to consider this too before picking the squad ahead of the Germany game."
