Harry Maguire and Harry Kane's wives welcome England 'champs' home with huge displays

They have been away from home for weeks now but the England football team have been able to reunite with their families.

It's been a whirlwind time as the Three Lions found themselves in their first major tournament in 55 years as they played in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate's side faced Italy in their final game of the competition and after leading 1-0, an equalizer by Roberto Mancini's men saw both sides driven to penalties where England lost 3-2.

The heartbreak was felt across the team, among their families in the stands, and fans up and down the country.

But Harry Maguire and Harry Kane's wives have shared how they welcomed their other halves home - and it was so sweet.

Kate Kane, who has been showing her support for her husband on social media throughout the competition, took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to show how she had decorated the family's London mansion with a red and white balloon display.

The 2z-year-old, who shares three children with Kane, showed a personalised balloon within the arch which read: "Welcome Home Daddy. We love you."

Fern Hawkins, Maguire's wife, put on an even bigger display for her husband's return.

She threw a garden party to celebrate his, and the England team's, success during Euro 2020.

Fern had a marquee put up in their garden which was then decked out with red and white balloons, fairy lights, and England bunting.

But the main talking point will have been the huge neon sign which read 'Our Champ'.

She also shared a picture of a personalised balloon from daughters Lillie Saint, two, and one-year-old Piper Rose which said: "Daddy, you are our champion".

Fern had also organised a very yummy looking BBQ, a bar with plenty of tipples and some delicious sweet treats.
