Harry Maguire and Declan Rice in nasty head clash in England warm-up ahead of Bulgaria

Harry Maguire and Declan Rice clashed heads in the warm-up ahead of England's Euro 2020 qualifier with Bulgaria.

ITV cameras captured the pair contesting the same ball on the pitch at Wembley Stadium.

As the two players rose into the air to get their head on the ball they crashed into each other and both looked to be in pain.

Maguire even walked off the pitch and back into the changing room to receive treatment.

But initial fears that Maguire had suffered an injury were quickly quashed when the Manchester United defender returned to the pitch to finish his warm-up.

Gareth Southgate has selected the England international to start at centre-back alongside Michael Keane this Saturday.

Maguire has started this season positively at Old Trafford following his £80million summer transfer from Leicester City to Manchester United.

Rice, who was also uninjured in the collision, has also started positively at West Ham.

The 20-year-old midfielder lines up alongside Jordan Henderson and Ross Barkley in the middle of the park.
