Manchester United are expected to welcome captain Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo back into the starting XI for their Premier League clash with Arsenal.
Despite United confirming that Ralf Rangnick has been appointed as interim manager, Michael Carrick will take charge for likely the third and final time against the Gunners at Old Trafford on Thursday night (8.15pm).
That's on account of the German not yet receiving his work permit.
Carrick led United to victory against Villarreal and followed that up with a creditable point vs Chelsea.
Jadon Sancho was on target in that game - scoring his first Premier League goal - but it was the decision to drop Ronaldo to the bench that raised eyebrows before kick-off in west London.
Maguire was suspended at Stamford Bridge after picking up a red card against Watford.
Both players are expected to return to the line-up before Carrick hands over the baton to Rangnick - but United's caretaker will be without several senior players tomorrow night.
France internationals Raphael Varane (hamstring) and Paul Pogba (thigh) are not fit enough to return.
However, after recovering from Covid 19, academy graduate Mason Greenwood is available for selection.
Luke Shaw (head) and Edinson Cavani (tendon) are edging closer to fitness and Carrick provided an update on his injured players during his pre-match press conference this afternoon.

Eric Bailly is expected to make way for Maguire in the back-four.
As for Ronaldo, one of the three holding midfielders who played against Chelsea - Nemanja Matic, Fred and Scott McTominay - should come out to accommodate the five-time Ballon d'Or winner and a predicted return to a more familiar 4-2-3-1 formation that United have used for the majority of this season.
Man United predicted line-up vs Arsenal: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Telles; Fred, McTominay; Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford; Ronaldo.
