Louis Saha believes that Manchester United is the ideal destination for Harry Kane if he wants to depart Tottenham and move elsewhere in his quest to win trophies.
The Spurs striker has been in incredible form this season and played some of the best football of his career after notching 31 goals and 16 assists from 44 games in all competitions.
That form unfortunately hasn't culminated in major honours for Spurs as they suffered an embarrassing Europa League exit against Dinamo Zagreb in March and lost in the Carabao Cup final last weekend against Man City.
Kane's future has been a major talking point given Tottenham's poor form in 2021 and the likes of City and Manchester United have been linked with summer moves for him.
While a move to the Etihad Stadium would no doubt see him guaranteed trophies given the success that has followed since Pep Guardiola took on the job in 2016, former Tottenham man Saha believes that Kane should instead head over to Old Trafford if he is end his long stay in N17.
“When you have the quality of Harry you need the trophies to represent that, said Saha, speaking exclusively to 888sport. "It’s a shame and I think the guy deserves pictures of him lifting trophies that will come to symbolize what he has achieved as a player.
"When you have a player like Cristiano Ronaldo playing for so many big teams, he will tell you that what’s he looking for is trophies. Winning leagues is what puts you in the frame to win the Ballon d’Or.
"Harry can love his club and be attached to it but ultimately he must want a team that can compete to win things.
"He’s the type of player who deserves that and needs a club that provides this platform.
"I believe that’s at Man United. He is 27 and has at least another five years on top form. He’s a guaranteed striker who can get you 30 goals and give plenty of assists to other players.
"I see this as a perfect fit because he’s the perfect player though maybe the money isn’t perfect.
"It would be a massive fee but if you want to win the Premier League you need players like Harry who is right up there.”
