Harry Kane told how he could secure move away from Tottenham amid failed transfer

Simon Jordan has given instructions to Harry Kane on how he could potentially seal an exit from Tottenham Hotspur next summer.

The England frontman had been linked with a move away from north London throughout the summer, including during Euro 2020.

He had previously expressed his desire for a new challenge, with Manchester City in particular being named as the most interested party in his services.

In the end, a move did not come to fruition and Kane eventually announced his intention to remain at Spurs with a statement released by his social media accounts.

With Manchester City having failed to sign a striker this summer, it remains to be seen whether the reigning Premier League champions revive their interest in a year’s time.

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has told Kane how he could seal a different outcome should City attempt to sign him again, however.

Speaking on talkSPORT’s coverage of deadline day, he said: “I think it’ll come again, I think he’ll leave Tottenham next year unless they do something meaningful and I think he just has to get on with his football.

“He’s put up tweets and observations about how committed he is and how he’s staying for the fans, that’s a load of cobblers, he’s been told to say that because Manchester City didn't want to meet the expectations of Tottenham Hotspur.

“That’s their prerogative and perhaps Harry will have learned a lot of lessons from this; A, he operates in the public domain a better way next time before he does interviews with people about what he can and can’t do; B he perhaps gets himself around some more capable advisors to help those that are there.

“And next time he does a deal with Daniel [Levy], put some release clauses in there.”

Come the conclusion of the 2021/22 transfer window, Kane will have two years left on his deal.
