Harry Kane told he'd be 'stupid' not to accept Liverpool offer

Harry Kane would be "stupid" not to accept an offer to sign for Liverpool.

That's the opinion of former Chelsea and Celtic striker Chris Sutton, who believes that Tottenham Hotspur forward Kane needs to move on in order to win titles.

The 26-year-old England captain has scored 136 goals in 198 games for Spurs, but has yet to lift any silverware with the North London club.

And Sutton believes Kane simply couldn't turn down the chance to sign for a club like Liverpool or Man City.

"We all understand he wants to win something. So if he wants to win something, I wouldn't begrudge him a move," he told the BBC.

"Spurs are a brilliant club, but at this moment in time they are way behind the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.

"If one of those clubs came in for him, if you were Harry Kane you would be be stupid not to go.

Blood Red: Harry Kane says current season shouldn't go beyond June

"I can understand the predicament he is in..

"But if he wants to win the Premier League, then he should move on and go to a club who have better chance of winning it than Spurs do."
