Harry Kane to Man City: Tottenham exit is ‘imminent’, claims former player Michael Brown

Tottenham wantaway star Harry Kane's move to Manchester City could be "imminent", according to former Spurs player Michael Brown.

Kane is yet to feature for the club across two games this season, having returned back from holiday late, and remains a doubt to be involved in the trip to Wolves on Sunday.

Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo says Kane's availability is assessed "day-by-day", but Brown believes the player's continued absence means a transfer is "imminent".

Speaking on Sky Sports after Kane was not involved against Pacos de Ferreira, Brown said: "He's not travelled again. So ultimately, is there a deal on the table?

"I’d have expected him to travel with the squad and get at least a few minutes. But he hasn’t and that tells me that there’s a deal imminent.

"Everyone needs to resolve this. It’s been a long drama now. I got on with Daniel Levy well when I’ve worked with him. He drives a hard bargain but he’s got his football club as his concern.

"The player wants to go. We want to all see Harry Kane and wish him well. And I’m sure if the deal does go through, Spurs fans will wish him that as well."

City are very keen to sign Kane in a deal which could be priced up to £150million.
