Harry Kane steps up Tottenham return after sharing video of solo training session

Harry Kane's recovery from injury edges ever closer with the Tottenham striker returning to on-field training.

The England international shared a promising video on his social media accounts, looking sharp in outdoor training and, of course, hitting the back of the net.

Kane has not played since suffering a surgery-requiring hamstring injury against Southampton on New Year’s Day, the initial prognosis being the striker could potentially miss the rest of the season and put his place at this summer’s Euro 2020 under threat.

Jose Mourinho more recently revealed his talisman to be ahead of schedule, while Kane has insisted he expects to be back in April – just in time for the north London derby.

Kane has now added to speculation of an early return, posting an encouraging video on Twitter, also saying: "Love being back on the grass with a ball at my feet."

The two-time Premier League Golden Boot winner has a history of speedy recoveries, making repeated swift returns after suffering ankle ligament damage, most recently last season.

Kane looks to defy the odds once more, a huge boost for a Tottenham side currently without Heung-min Son, Steven Bergwijn and Moussa Sissoko.
