Harry Kane sends Liverpool and FSG unwanted reminder as Luis Suarez change underlined

Harry Kane's decision to not turn up to a Tottenham Hotspur training session yesterday afternoon has certainly divided opinion.

The 28-year-old is attempting to force through a move this summer despite Spurs chairman Daniel Levy remaining reluctant to sell his star man.

Losing Kane would be disastrous for the Lilywhites, who have relied so heavily on the goals the England international provides.

A key player going against the club in order to secure a transfer is something Liverpool have experienced themselves in recent years.

Jamie Carragher and Rio Ferdinand continue Twitter spat over Harry Kane missing training

Jamie Carragher and Rio Ferdinand are divided on the situation involving Kane.

Carragher has criticised the way the Spurs striker is acting in order to settle his future, while Ferdinand showed sympathy for the England striker.

"Harry [Kane] wants trophies and he ain’t getting any younger," tweeted the former Manchester United defender.

Carragher, who remained a one-club man throughout his playing career, delivered a honest response to Ferdinand's claim.

“I disagree, it is wrong not to turn up for training. We all know he wants to go & can totally understand why," the Liverpool legend said.

“But Harry should not ruin his name or relationship with the supporters who idolise him just to get the move. Spurs will always be HIS club.”
