Harry Kane’s transfer stance confirmed as Tottenham striker decides on Manchester City move

Harry Kane will reportedly hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur next week and insist that he wants to join Jack Grealish by signing for Premier League Champions, Manchester City.

Kane is looking to end his 16-year association with Spurs after becoming increasingly frustrated by the club’s lack of silverware and has been strongly linked with a move to City, as well as Chelsea and Manchester United all summer.

Despite various reports suggesting City have tabled a big-money offer for the Tottenham striker, football.london understands that the north London club are determined to keep hold of the 28-year-old beyond the end of August.

However, according to The Telegraph, Kane would like to follow his England team-mate Grealish – who City have bid £100million for, an offer that’ll likely be accepted - in moving to the Etihad Stadium.

He is due back to Spurs’ training ground on Monday for Covid-19 testing before he starts pre-season work after an extended break following the European Championship. Nevertheless, he’ll be hoping to have positive and honest talks with the club about his future.

Kane has spoken about the possibility of leaving Spurs in the past, with his latest hint coming just before Euro 2020 during an interview with Gary Neville.

The England captain said that he didn’t want to end his footballing career with any regrets, implying that his lack of trophies at Tottenham could be a problem moving forward.

And with Grealish set to join a squad full of already made stars, Kane will most probably win a few things with City, meaning it’s a decision he may have to make for the betterment of his legacy.
