Mason issues Bale fitness update
Ryan Mason is "not sure" whether Gareth Bale can start another match in quick succession for Tottenham.
Bale was named in Mason's line-up for Sunday's 2-0 win over Wolves, playing 89 minutes of the clash before being replaced by Moussa Sissoko.
Spurs face Aston Villa on Wednesday evening, but the interim boss is not too sure about whether to risk the Real Madrid loanee.
Mason said: "I am not sure (if Bale can start against Villa).
"Gareth was probably the best I have seen him all season at the weekend. He was sharp, he was running at players, he has that confidence back of playing in repetitive games and he feels confident in his body. He also knows his body.
"He is a question mark for tomorrow. We are not sure whether or not he is going to be ready. It is down to the player, he is experienced enough. We'll see."

Perez has already issued Kane verdict amid Madrid links
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has already issued his verdict on Kane amid speculation that he's set to leave Tottenham this summer.
Los Blancos have been one of the numerous clubs linked with a big-money move for the England captain ahead of the season's conclusion and Perez has already made his feelings clear on the Spurs star.
"Signing Harry Kane has not passed through my head. He is a great player and in addition he is young," the Madrid chief said to COPE back in 2017.
"He has many years to progress, but we are delighted with [Karim] Benzema and with all of the team.
"I didn’t ask Tottenham’s president for the price because he would have told me that he is worth €250m."
