Harry Kane's future predicted as Tottenham face £201.6m transfer loss

Harry Kane rumours abound and Jose Mourinho helps put together care packages for those in need, but the Premier League shows no signs of starting back up.

All Premier League football has been suspended until the end of April, as authorities try and work out how to fulfil the remainder of the season's fixtures.

Spurs were suffering a mini-slump before the season drew to halt, but can at least get their selection of injured stars back to full fitness in the meantime.

And with the transfer window on the horizon fans can always get excited about something.

So with that in mind, what's the latest Tottenham news?

Tottenham face £201.6m transfer loss

With all football in the country postponed until April 30 at the earliest, football.london understands that the FA, Premier League and English Football League are currently planning to finish the campaign behind closed doors over a period of four to six weeks starting in July.

But what if football doesn't resume and the 2019/20 season is not completed?

According to data published by the International Centre for Sports Studies Football Observatory (CIES), the value of Tottenham's squad could plummet as a result.

In their study of Europe's top five leagues, CIES value the Spurs squad at €787million (£699m) and their algorithm predicts a fall to €560m (£497.4m).

That means a loss of €227m (£201.6m) overall and it sees the Lilywhites come tenth in the list.

The numbers take into account a host of metrics, including expiring contracts, the players' age, career path and recent performances.

Arsenal legend makes Kane prediction

Arsenal legend Ian Wright is confident that Harry Kane will not leave Tottenham this summer despite the striker hinting at a possible departure in the near future.

"They've got a manager who is a notorious winner," he told BBC Radio 5 Live. "He did say as well that next season will be the first time the gaffer will have had a pre-season, to bed his values into the team.

"That says to me that he’s somebody who is already thinking of next year so he’s not going anywhere.

"But if next year happens and it goes like it has been, then we can start digging out quotes and saying Harry Kane is leaving.

"I feel sorry for the Spurs fans in this instance as people are blasting it all over the place.

Foyth discusses his future

Juan Foyth wants to return to Argentina but only after building a "long career" in Europe.

The Tottenham Hotspur defender has struggled for game time this season, with a couple of injuries as well as struggling to convince Jose Mourinho after his appointment as head coach.

The Argentina international was linked with a move away from the club in January and there will be speculation over his future again in the summer. However, there is one place Foyth will not be heading to play just yet and that's the club Spurs signed him from - Estudiantes.

The Spurs defender took part in an Instagram Live session with Argentinean journalist Joaquín Tabares, and said he has an agreement with his friend Hertha Berlin star Santiago Ascacíbar.

"With Ruso we always say that we have to go back to Estudiantes, but now I think this is not the time, we are very young," said Foyth, as translated by Sport Witness.

"We have to make our career here in Europe and go back at a time when we can give more to the club."
