Harry Kane releases transfer statement as major target pens new deal

Here is your Tottenham morning digest on Thursday, August 26.

Harry Kane sends major transfer message

The major talking point throughout the summer in north London has been Harry Kane's future. The Tottenham striker made clear his ambitions for a new challenge earlier this window, with Manchester City being touted as his most obvious admirers.

He looks sure to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium though with the striker having accepted the club's decision not to sell him to the reigning Premier League champions.

Meanwhile, Kane also released a statement on social media clarifying his current stance.

Noni Madueke agrees new contract

Whilst Kane has agreed to remain in north London, one man who looks highly unlikely to be plying his trade for Spurs next season is former youngster Noni Madueke.

Nuno Espirito Santo's men had previously been linked with a move for the PSV winger, with Leicester City also thought to be keen on the wideman.

However, he now looks set to remain in the Netherlands having penned a new deal to stay in the Eredivise until 2025.

Spurs open Kessie talks

On the other hand, Tottenham could be set to potentially profit from another uncertain contractual situation if reports are to be believed.

As reported by Italian journalist Alessandro Jacobone, Spurs are in talks regarding the signing of AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie.

The Ivorian is out of contract at the end of the current campaign, with Fabio Paratici aiming to secure his signature on a free transfer.
