England have reached their first major tournament final for 55 years as Gareth Southgate guided his side to a dramatic 2-1 victory over Denmark to set up a meeting with Italy on Sunday to determine the winner of Euro 2020.
It was hardly smooth-sailing, with the Danes ending England's 100% clean sheet record at the tournament after they went 1-0 up courtesy of Mikkel Damsgaard's fantastic free-kick on the half hour mark.
However, nine minutes later England drew level after a delightful through ball from Harry Kane found Bukayo Saka, whose pass across the face of goal was turned into his own net by Denmark skipper Simon Kjaer.

The scores remained locked at 1-1 for the remainder of the 90, before extra-time saw Harry Kane notch his fourth goal of the tournament, latching on to the rebound of his own penalty after Kasper Schmeichel had saved his original effort.
After the game, a number of England's stars took to social media to express their delight at the result and progression into the final.
The skipper and match-winner updated his twitter followers with some praise for the atmosphere created by the 60,000 England fans inside Wembley on the night.
Kane wrote: "Support tonight was unreal!!! Thank you England!"
Raheem Sterling has arguably been England's player of the tournament thus far and put in another stellar display against the Danes, a constant presence that barely tired despite playing the full 120 minutes.
Sterling opted for the more motivational message of "Final Bound...Come on England!!!" before signing off his tweet with the hashtag #BoyFromBrent as a tip of the hat to his upbringing, playing football as a child so close to the stadium the famous Wembley arch was visible.
His sentiments were echoed by Declan Rice, who has been a revelation this tournament alongside Kalvin Phillips as one half of a defensive midfield duo.
Rice had one of his tougher nights in England shirt, struggling to get to grips with the pace in which Denmark were hitting the Three Lions in transition during the opening exchanges.
He was hauled off early into extra time and replaced by Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson.
Rice wrote: "Proud to be apart of this team. One more push. We will give it everything!"
There is a chance one of Rice or Phillips lose their place for the final in favour of the more experienced Jordan Henderson, though Southgate has shown he is not afraid to make big decisions in big games.
Bukayo Saka made history as the youngest Englishman to start in a major tournament semi-final, continuing his meteoric rise from Arsenal academy prospect to fully-fledged Three Lions star.
Having won Arsenal's player of the year award for last term, Saka's fine form shows little sign of slowing down after another encouraging display on the biggest stage of all.
Saka even got his first assist of the tournament after his pass was turned in by Kjaer. He tweeted: "What a team! One step closer."
Jack Grealish's brief cameo made headlines for rather bizarre reasons, the Aston Villa skipper only featuring for 36 minutes despite coming on as a second half sub.
Following Kane's strike to give England the upper hand, Grealish was 'sub subbed' in favour of further defensive reinforcements in the form of Kieran Trippier.
Southgate explained his decision, revealing: "Raheem was causing so many problems all night it had to be Phil or Jack coming off, it was not an easy decision.”
That did not dampen the winger's mood, taking to twitter to write: "What a night at Wembley, I love this team!"
It is anyone's guess who Southgate chooses to deploy in England's attack for the final, with Sterling and Kane the only two all but certain starters.
That leaves the likes of Phil Foden, Bukayo Saka, Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho all vying for limited positions.
Southgate's men will already know the time for toasting last night's victory has already passed, as all attention now turns to another clash under the Wembley arch against the Azzurri.
