Harry Kane is heading into the new season convinced Spurs can win the title.
Liverpool will once again be the big challengers next season after reducing a 25-point deficit from two seasons ago to just one in May.
Kane wants to see that kind of consistency from his own side and intends to have a crack at delivering his side of the bargain by landing the Golden Boot.
As for the doubters, the man who has lifted two Premier League Golden Boots and a World Cup Golden Boot - since being written off as a one-season wonder - wants them to bring it on.
“We've got to believe and use it as motivation that people don't believe in us,” he told Mirror Sport. “That's what I've done on a personal note my whole career. You have to use that to your advantage. As a team that's what we've got to try to do.

“We've got to use that as motivation. Of course people will look at Man City and Liverpool after the seasons they had and suggest that they can go and do that again.
“But as we know in the Premier League it's not always that easy. You've seen over the years the winners' points [total] has been different and it varies from year to year.”
Club record signing Tanguy N’dombele, added to the squad after impressing for Lyon last year, is likely to be joined by Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso, despite Mauricio Pochettino’s transfer market anxieties.
Should Spurs not move on the likes of Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose and Christian Eriksen, the squad will once again be a strong one heading into the new campaign.
Asked why he believes it could yet be a three-way fight at the top this season, Kane explained: “We're in a good place. We're a team that's learnt a lot over the last few years.

“A lot of us have been playing with each other now for a long time. Of course we know it'll be tough because the teams around us in the Premier League and Champions League are so good.
“The fact that we got to the final in the Champions League last year will only give us confidence in the Premier League. It showed that we know we can beat the big teams.
“Consistency is a key thing. It's the one thing we've been missing over the last two or three years: spells where you go two or three months without losing and just build momentum.

“You go from there. That's our aim. Of course everyone starts the season saying they're in a good place and they want to win but it's down to us to do the talking on the pitch, starting next Saturday.”
As for himself, Kane says he is feeling fresh and sharp after a summer holiday and full pre-season.
The England captain followed his wonder-goal from the halfway line against Juventus with a clinical finish in Tuesday's 1-0 win over Real Madrid in Munich.
His build-up this year comes in stark contrast to 12 months ago when Kane had just five days to prepare for the start of last season.
He’d led England to third place at the 2018 World Cup and, despite finishing an injury-hit campaign with 27 goals for club and country, never really looked at his formidable best.
This season is different: “It’s been nice, it’s been tough,” he said. “Compared to last year, when we had just five days before playing against Newcastle , it’s a totally different situation. It’s helped me.
“I had a nice off-season, got married, relaxed and chilled out. I’ve come back ready to go and I feel sharp. There are still a couple more pre-season games but I’m going into the season as fresh as I have been for a long while and hopefully I can take advantage of that.”
