Harry Kane lifts lid on life under Antonio Conte as Tottenham prepare for Leeds United clash

Harry Kane has admitted Antonio Conte has really impressed him so far at the start of his tenure at Tottenham.

At the start of the month, the Italian coach was appointed as Spurs' new permanent manager on an 18-month contract following Nuno Espirito Santo being relieved of his duties just before the announcement.

So far, Conte has taken charge of two Tottenham games - a 3-2 victory over Vitesse in the Europa Conference League and a goalless draw with Everton in the Premier League - but then the majority of his squad reported for international duty with their respective countries.

One of the players who reported for international duty was Kane, who bagged himself seven goals in just two games for England - with the Tottenham striker giving himself a much-needed confidence boost following his difficult start to the season.

Kane has scored just the one goal for Spurs in the Premier League this term following a summer full of speculation over his future, but many have tipped Conte to get the best out of last season's Golden Boot winner.

Now, the 28-year-old centre-forward has opened up on how Conte has been so far with the Tottenham squad and revealed that everyone is "buying into" his ideology.

"Yeah, he is brilliant. Obviously we had the five days before the international break, he tried to get in as many ideas as he could to the team," Kane said on talkSPORT when asked about Conte.

"Getting to know him, he's a great manager, his resume speaks for itself. He's a fantastic coach, he has his own way of working and everyone is buying into it and that is what we need at the club at the moment; everyone going in the same direction and giving everything on the training pitch.

"Hopefully that will turn our results around on the pitch. We're looking forward to this busy period with some difficult games, but hopefully us players can turn it around on the pitch."

Tottenham welcome Leeds United to north London this weekend as Conte seeks his first victory in the Premier League as Spurs boss.

Conte, speaking after the Everton game, where his new side failed to land a shot on target, admitted that the creativity issue in his team is something he will be working on.

He said: "I think if I have to see a negative aspect in this game, I think we made many many mistakes in the final pass because we had chances.

"If we made the final pass in the right way, we could have chances to score. Instead the last pass we made many mistakes.

"Lo Celso went in very well and hit a post but for sure I have to know very well the whole squad and I said to my players that we have to know each other better and for me they have to give me the possibility to know them very well and then every single player have to try to make me difficulty because I like to win and I pick the players that I think can give us the possibility to win."
