Harry Kane injury update as Mauricio Pochettino discusses Champions League Final

Harry Kane has declared himself ready and raring to go in next weekend's Champions League final against Liverpool .

And Kane says he would be 100 percent fit to take part in the Madrid showdown even if it was kicking off tomorrow.

The Spurs striker missed the last five weeks of the Premier League after injuring his ankle in the 1-0 Champions League win over Manchester City in early April.

But asked at yesterday’s club media day if he could play tomorrow, he said: “Yes, I feel good. I’m back with the team.

“I’ve been in full training, doing everything. I’m at a place now where I’m ready to go for any game.”

Earlier, Mauricio Pochettino had been a just a little more cautious about the fitness of his talisman, saying: “The situation is very positive with him (Kane). It’s so important that he feels well and he’s very positive. We’ll see what happens. I cannot say if he’ll be 100% fit or starting, or on the bench or out.”

But with Kane so bullish about his fitness, it is hard to see how Pochettino can do anything other than start with the team’s talisman.

“The manager will assess it and decide whether I’m ready to go or not.” said Kane. “But I feel good and ready. I did a lot of work on my own to get me into a good place to go back with the team and there have been no problems so far.”

Pochettino also confirmed injury concerns over Harry Winks, Jan Vertonghen and Davinson Sanchez were also unlikely be a factor when he names his squad for Saturday’s final.
