Here is your Tottenham morning digest for Friday, March 12.
Player ratings from Zagreb win
Harry Kane scored both goals as Tottenham completed a comfortable 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the first leg of their last-16 Europa League tie last night.
Kane tapped into a gaping net to open the scoring in the first half after a brilliant run from Erik Lamela saw him hit the post and he doubled the lead midway through the second with a powerful low finish when Kevin Theophile-Catherine failed to clear Serge Aurier’s cross.
His 30th goal in just his 34th start in major European competitions unsurprisingly sees him top Alasdair Gold’s player ratings with a 9.
Our Tottenham correspondent was also impressed by the midfield partnership of Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele, who were both awarded an 8 after taking their chances as part of seven changes by Jose Mourinho from the side which played Crystal Palace on Sunday.
However, Dele Alli was one who didn’t grab his chance. He “looked rusty in his link-up play” before being part of Mourinho’s triple substitution in the second half.

Kane will play in the North London derby
It wasn’t the perfect night for Tottenham, however, with Kane suffering a knock late on.
Kane sustained a heavy challenge in the closing stages at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and, after trying to run it off, he was substituted for Carlos Vinicius in the 84th minute.
He appeared to be in some discomfort as he left the pitch and he was immediately given an ice pack for his right knee when he reached the bench.
Tottenham supporters held their breath, worrying that their star striker could miss Sunday’s North London derby against Arsenal, but they had those fears allayed by Mourinho post-match.
"I hope so and I believe so," he replied when asked if Kane will be available for the 4.30pm kick-off at the Emirates Stadium. "It's a big match and he will expect to be there."
Gladbach midfielder could leave this summer
Midfielder Florian Neuhaus could leave Borussia Monchengladbach this summer if the German club fail to qualify for the Champions League this season.
Neuhaus, who has been linked with Tottenham, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, reportedly has a £34.5million release clause in his Gladbach contract.
The 23-year-old has previously brushed off transfer rumours, saying he is “very relaxed about the future”, but Bild are now claiming Gladbach could be forced into selling one of their prized assets at the end of the campaign.
Marco Rose’s side are facing financial strains, having lost five successive games in all competitions to leave them 10 points adrift of the Champions League places and seven off the Europa League spots in 10th place.
Neuhaus has contributed four goals and four assists in 23 Bundesliga appearances this season and made his debut for Germany in October.
