Harry Kane has reiterated his desire to win trophies as England continue their preparations for the rescheduled Euro 2020.
A lot of attention has been gathering around the Tottenham Hotspur striker’s future, having expressed his desire to claim major silverware in his club career.
The England captain has not yet managed to lift a trophy with the north London club, whilst he also only reached the semi-finals of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Kane, who was named top scorer at that tournament with six goals, has said that his eyes are firmly set on winning the tournament - as well as another Golden Boot.
Talking to the Official England podcast, the Spurs striker said: "As a striker, if you are scoring, you are helping the team. That's always my aim, and to win games.
“Of course, I'd love to win another Golden Boot. More importantly, I'd love to be lifting that European Cup.”
Kane has also been speaking about his last experience of an international tournament with England and how much of a painful experience the defeat to Croatia was in 2018 ahead of the rematch this weekend at Wembley Stadium.
“Of course it's a game that hurts,” Kane said. “It's a game we wanted to win, but in football, it doesn't always pan out how you want.
“We just fell short in that moment. Croatia are a great side. We'll be focused on trying to stop their threats and we'll try to get on the ball and create chances.”
Continuing to be linked with a move away from north London, it is now looking likely that Kane’s future won’t be sorted until after Euro 2020.
Spurs’ Premier League rivals Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea remain rumoured to be interested in signing the striker.
