Harry Kane delivers update on future as Moussa Sissoko linked with Napoli

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest for Monday, June 14

Harry Kane delivers update on future

The England captain said "stuff will happen" over his Tottenham Hotspur future once he returns from the Euros this summer.

"It's been ok. I'm sure I'll get asked about it a lot but my most important thing is trying to win a major tournament with England," he told the BBC.

"The rest of the stuff will happen obviously when I get back from the tournament but for now that's all I'm focused on."

Kane added: "I'm not someone who listens to the noise anyway, whether it's good or bad to be honest.

"I try to never get too high or too low. I'm here to give everything for my country."

Napoli plot Sissoko move

Serie A side Napoli may move for Tottenham midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to Sky Sports.

The report claims that Napoli could move for the Frenchman "in the coming days".

The 31-year-old only has two years left on his current deal with Spurs and he may be willing to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after starting only 15 Premier League games last season.

Gareth Southgate gives verdict on Kane performance

England boss Gareth Southgate has praised Harry Kane for his performance against Croatia on Sunday afternoon.

"I think he led the line really well. It was a game where he had to take a lot of physical buffeting," he told the BBC.

"A lot of the game for him today was to link and create spaces, which he did for the goal, to let others play."

"There are days when chances will fall to him but today he was really tightly marked by their team. They know what a threat he is, and he was crowded out.

"I've not seen his chance at far post yet to see how good a chance that was. But he brings so much more to our team than the goals."
