Harry Kane delivers positive injury update and explains how Jose Mourinho is keeping in touch

Harry Kane is almost back at full training level following his hamstring surgery.

The Tottenham Hotspur striker has been out since January, recovering from the surgery on a torn left hamstring.

However, the break in football has come at a time when the England captain is in the final stages of his rehabilitation, which he is continuing at home under the government guidelines.

"So far things are going great. I was doing my rehab well at Spurs up until last week. Now just continuing that here [at home]," he said in an Instagram Live Q&A session with Jamie Redknapp.

"I'm at a stage where I'm pretty much nearly back at full training. Whenever we go back, whether that's in a couple of weeks or one month or two, I'll be able to integrate with the group and just see how I feel.

"There's no rush or panic. I'm in a good place, a good space. Now it's just using this time to heal even more.

"With all injuries there's always a stage when you feel ready to go back but if you can give it a bit more time it helps. I'll just take things as it comes whenever we're back."

Kane was asked how the players were working at home and whether Jose Mourinho has been keeping in touch.

"He's keeping up to date. He's sending texts to the players," he explained.

"We've all been given individual programmes we need to work on and hopefully the players are sticking to that.

"Nobody's really been in a time like this. We're all trying to adapt and make the most of the situation. I'm sure the players are itching already to get back playing but we know it's going to be a little while yet.

"We're fortunate enough to have gyms and pools in our houses and we'll just have to do a different kind of training right now."
