Harry Kane convinced he will win trophies amid Tottenham speculation

Tottenham striker Harry Kane says he is certain he will win silverware in his career as speculation over his future at the club remains rife.

Defeat to Manchester City in last month's Carabao Cup Final means Spurs' 13-year trophy drought will extend for at least another season, and leaves Kane without a trophy in his career.

The 27-year-old, considered among the best strikers in the world, has repeatedly said he is happy at Spurs should he regularly have the opportunity to win silverware, though Tottenham's failures on the pitch this season have prompted talk of a summer move.

Standard Sport understands that Spurs will not entertain any offers for Kane, whose current contract runs until 2024, and the striker insists he is not running out of time to win silverware.

"I've done so many things in the game but there are still so many things in my head that I want to achieve," he told BBC Sport.

"I spoke openly about (winning silverware). That's the reason why I play the game, that's why I became a footballer - to win and have those experiences with my team-mates, lifting trophies and winning the biggest games.

"It hasn't happened so far but I feel I've got plenty of time in my locker. I'm just looking forward and I'm sure they will come."
