Harry Kane completes injury return as Tottenham lose in friendly vs Norwich

Harry Kane completed his return from injury on Friday by taking part in Tottenham's friendly against Norwich.

The Spurs striker had not played since injuring his hamstring on New Years' Day and having subsequent surgery.

He has been working hard on his rehabilitation in the interim, and now looks set to make his full competitive return in Spurs' first fixture back next week.

Kane featured in much of the 2-1 defeat at home to Norwich, which gave both sides an opportunity to dust off any cobwebs prior to the Premier League restart.

Tottenham were also boosted by the returns of Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn.

Both players have been out since Ferbuary and March respectively, but boss Jose Mourinho now has a full quota of stars to pick from, as he prepares for the visit of Man Utd on Friday June 19.

The fixture with Norwich was made up of four 30 minute quarters, with both teams making a number of changes in the breaks.

Spurs had led through Erik Lamela's goal in the opening quarter, diverting a diving header from Bergwijn's cross past Tim Krul.

Kane was among the Tottenham stars to miss chances that would have doubled his side's tally, but the home side retained their lead for much of the match.

It was only in the last 10 minutes that Norwich struck back to come behind with two quick-fire goals from Josip Drmic and Mario Vrancic, against by that time a much-changed Spurs side.

Dele Alli had come on at the start of the third quarter, but is currently the only player set to miss out on Tottenham's first game back through suspension.

Norwich play the same day as Spurs' 8:15pm clash with United, welcoming Southampton to Carrow Road in an earlier 6pm kick-off.
