Tottenham captain Harry Kane is calling on his side to build on their Champions League win over Red Star Belgrade.
After a tough couple of weeks, Spurs returned to winning ways with a comfortable 5-0 victory at White Hart Lane.
Mauricio Pochettino's side were ruthless against their Serbian counterparts, with a Harry Kane header and two impressive finishes from Son Heung-min giving Spurs a 3-0 lead at the break.
Erik Lamela then added a fourth before Kane completed the scoring 18 minutes from time, and the Spurs captain believes the result and performance was just what his side needed following a difficult run.
"Yeah it is great. It is exactly what we needed to do," Kane told BT Sport after the match.
"We know we've had a tough run of results and it was the perfect way to respond so we are really pleased and hopefully we can build on this.
"We said we wanted to come out of the blocks, press high, move the ball quick, play forward, forward runs.
"Of course, when you score early it gives you that momentum to carry on and we were ruthless in front of goal today, which we need to be more often."
Fellow goalscorer Son added: "We, as a team, we stuck together from the start we wanted to win this game and I think we did it.
"We did an amazing job, amazing performance and a big three points for us."
