Harry Kane breaks his silence after injury scare as Paul Pogba identifies Jose Mourinho problem

Here's all the news from around the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Player ratings vs Everton

Tottenham kicked off the latest round of Premier League fixtures with a 2-2 draw against Everton on Friday night.

The north London outfit broke the deadlock through Harry Kane, but not for the first time this season, they failed to hold on to a lead and were pegged back soon after when Gylfi Sigurdsson equalised from the penalty spot.

Just after the hour mark the Toffees midfielder scored again against his former club, but Spurs and Jose Mourinho had Kane to thank for rescuing them a point.

As expected, Kane - who limped off injured late on - scored high in the ratings, as did captain Hugo Lloris who made a fine save to deny Josh King what would have been a winner.

But how did the rest of the team fare?

Pogba's scathing verdict of Mourinho

Paul Pogba has cited man-management methods as the biggest difference between Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

"What I have now with Ole is different, he wouldn't go against the players," Pogba told Sky Sports in an interview. "He wouldn't go against the players.

"Maybe Ole wouldn't pick them, but it's not like he puts them on the side like they don't exist anymore.

"That's the difference between Mourinho and Ole.

"Once I had a great relationship with Mourinho, everybody saw that, and the next day you don't know what happened.

"That's the strange thing I had with Mourinho and I cannot explain to you because even I don't know. So, yeah."

Kane breaks his silence

As mentioned above, Kane limped off towards the end of the game at Goodison Park, thus leaving Spurs fans worried about his availability ahead of next weekend's Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.

With that said, all appears well with the Spurs striker captain as he broke his silence in the aftermath of the 2-2 draw and didn't mention his injury scare.

Taking to social media, he wrote: "Disappointed with only a point. Big week coming up."

Kane hobbled off to be replaced by Dele Alli and then was shaking his head as he walked gingerly towards the tunnel at the final whistle.

But Mourinho said it was too early to know serious the injury could be.

"I think it's too early to say something. For him to leave the pitch at 2-2 with a couple of minutes to go shows he felt something but let me be optimistic and believe that he has time to recover, let's see," he told Sky Sports.

"Let me be optimistic and believe it's nothing serious. It's obvious that he's a very important player for us. It's more than obvious. I cannot say much or speculate."
