Harry Kane has reiterated his desire to leave Spurs to the Tottenham hierarchy as he feels he is being hung out to dry by the club he has spent the last 16 years at.
However, with just six days of the transfer window left before its conclusion, Kane's main suitors in Manchester City are running out of time to strike a mega-money deal with Spurs chief Daniel Levy.
Pep Guardiola's side have already seen one £100m bid rejected by Spurs, coincidentally the same fee they paid to Aston Villa for Jack Grealish, making him the most expensive player in British football history.
If City are to get their main target, they will have no choice but to break the British transfer record twice in one window as Tottenham are reportedly still holding out for at least £150m from the reigning Premier League champions.
Despite City's reluctance to muster up such funds, Kane has once again told the Tottenham board that he wants to be plying his trade at the Etihad by the time the window closes next Tuesday.
According to The Sun, Kane feels as if his current club have not done enough to shield him from the criticism that has come his way from many quarters over the course of the summer.
A lot of the uproar stemmed from his alleged refusal to turn up to training prior to the opening game of the Premier League season.
The North London outfit are yet to actually officially comment on the reasons behind why Kane was a week late when reporting back to training.
Kane was thought to be under the impression he had an agreement in place to take an extended break following his summer of international duty with England at the Euros.
Spurs' radio silence on the matter has led Kane to believe the club have somewhat thrown him under the bus and made him look like 'the bad guy'.
Where will Kane play his football this season? Have your say here.

Levy is not in a position where he will be forced to choose between cashing in or letting Kane walk for free anytime soon, given the striker penned a six-year deal back in 2018 that still has three years left to run.
The 28-year-old made his first appearance since the speculation over his future went into overdrive last weekend when he came on for a late cameo away at Wolves, where Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo recorded a 1-0 win over his former side at the Molineux.
