Harry Kane back ahead of Wolves as Tanguy Ndombele transfer value revealed amid exit talks

Here is your Tottenham Hotspur morning digest on Saturday, August 21.

Harry Kane spotted in training ahead of Wolves

Left out last Sunday against Man City after only just returning to training a few days beforehand, Harry Kane was one of those who also didn't make the trip to Portugal on Thursday night to face Pacos de Ferreira.

Nuno Espirito Santo has already made it clear that Kane is putting in the work at Hotspur Way and he will make a decision over his selection on Saturday.

"He trained today, trained good. He'll train tomorrow and tomorrow we'll make a decision," said Espirito Santo in his pre-match press conference.

"I'm so sorry to keep on saying the same things but this is how we work. It's a day-by-day situation and decisions are made when we feel that we should make them, and we will make the decision on who's going to travel tomorrow."

The 28-year-old was spotted in Spurs' latest session at their Enfield base as he could be seen taking part in a training drill alongside Sergio Reguilon.

Now it's down to Espirito Santo whether he's involved or not.

Tanguy Ndombele's transfer value revealed amid exit rumours

Tottenham Hotspur could be set for a considerable loss should they decide to cash-in on Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

The Frenchman has never really settled in north London following a club-record move from Lyon in 2019.

On Ndombele’s position in the squad, Espirito Santo said: "He was not part of the squad in the Conference League because he was not included in the list but I will be honest with you, Tanguy is not going to be involved on Sunday [against Wolves]."

It has now been reported by the Athletic that the 24-year-old is open to leaving the club this summer and would favour a move to one of the biggest sides in either Spain or Germany.

As it stands, the French midfielder is valued at £45million by transfermarkt - some way below the reported £55million that it took to bring him north London just two years ago.

Fabio Paratici closes in on potential Ndombele replacement

Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Metz to sign midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, according to l’Equipe.

The report claims that the 18-year-old will likely be loaned back to the Ligue 1 outfit with personal terms still to be agreed on ahead of his proposed switch to north London.

RMC journalist Joris Crolbois has claimed that a deal is practically done, with a few agreed of around £12million-£13million.

The Senegalese international has also been linked with moves to Chelsea, Manchester United and Man City.

Sarr could potentially be Ndombele's replacement with the former Ligue 1 midfielder linked with a move back to France following a difficult spell in N17.
