Harry Kane and Mauro Icardi would form a fantastic partnership up front according to one of the goalscoring greats of Italian football.
The two goalscorers, who have seven goals between each other in the Champions League so far this season, face off at Wembley tonight as Tottenham take on Inter Milan in a key Group B clash.
Spurs need a win, plus victory away to Barcelona, to stand any real chance of progressing to knockout stages.
But they know all too well the dangers that Inter, and Icardi pose, having seen a 1-0 lead transform into a 2-1 defeat in the final seven minutes of their meeting at the San Siro in September.
Kane and Icardi will have a huge say in who wins this clash tonight, but for former Juventus and AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi, it’s so hard to separate the two that you’re in fact best to partner them.
“Icardi is a very good striker in the box because he can find his space thanks to lethal movements,” Inzaghi explained to the Sun.
“Kane, thanks to his physical presence, can play in all positions of midfield and attack sides because he has that strength.
“I like him because I feel he is always inside the game, with his mind helping his team-mates a lot.
“I can’t choose who is the best between them. For me they can play together and, as a coach, I’d like to train such fantastic players.”
A partnership of Kane and Icardi? Imagine that!
