Jan Vertonghen and Michel Vorm’s departures from Tottenham Hotspur have seemingly been confirmed after players began sharing their goodbyes to the pair on social media.
Neither of the pair got a final run-out for the club as Spurs ended their season with a 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace, with the result ensuring they qualified for next season’s Europa League.
Vorm had been expected to leave the club this summer, having been bumped down to third-choice goalkeeper behind Hugo Lloris and Paulo Gazzaniga.
Meanwhile, speculation has surrounded Vertonghen’s future, with the Belgian having struggled for playing time since Jose Mourinho was appointed as manager.
And it appears the pair are now set to leave the club this summer, with a number of players, including Harry Kane, bidding farewell to them on social media.
“Wish nothing but the best for @JanVertonghen and @Vorm_Official with whatever is next for them. Been a pleasure sharing a dressing room and playing with them both,” Kane wrote on Twitter.
Harry Winks also said his goodbyes, writing on Instagram: “Gonna miss these two. Been a huge part of my career since I came through the academy both on and off the pitch. All the best in your next chapters boys.”
Vorm also confirmed the news himself, writing on Twitter: “Many amazing memories with this team. Will miss everyone involved at the club. Thanks to everyone at @SpursOfficial.”
Vertonghen leaves the club having been a major part of Spurs' success over the past few years, having made 315 appearances in all competitions since arriving in north London in 2012.
Vorm, meanwhile, acted as back-up to Lloris for most of his time at the club since joining from Swansea in 2014, and made 48 appearances in total.
