Harry Judd left covered in blood after slicing off finger tip during cooking show

Terrified Harry Judd was left with blood pouring from him after slicing off his finger tip as he filmed Cooking With The Stars.

The McFly drummer was seen in total agony after getting his chopping all wrong.

The 35-year-old needed urgent medical assistance after the accident during ITV's new culinary contest.

Filming was disrupted and the not-yet-seen clips made fans feel for the star - even if he didn't noticed what he had done at first.

Emma Willis, who co-hosts the programme alongside Tom Allen, said the injury happened early on.

The star felt sorry for Harry, a close friend of her husband Matt Willis.

She said: "He cut himself within the first two minutes - the first chop he made he took the end of his little finger off.

"He did his cooking racing towards the end, adrenaline pumping - he plated everything up, kind of stood back and just took it all in.

“Because of the pressure they were trying to do everything too quickly.

“And they had professional knives, which they’ve never handled before, so there was a lot of nicks and cuts."

The songwriter is appearing alongside a number of famous faces.

Other contestants taking part include comic Johnny Vegas, dancer Shirley Ballas, songwriter Naughty Boy, actress Catherine Tyldesley and TV presenter AJ Odudu.

Actor Griff Rhys-Jones and Denise Van Outen also signed up.

But Harry isn't alone when it comes to kitchen mishaps during filming.

Emma added: "Johnny Vegas cut himself at the start and Shirley [Ballas] too, and Denise [Van Outen] can’t use sharp knives, so she used blunt knives for everything."

The eight celebs are each paired with a professional chef who will mentor.

Emma, 45, says the show has inspired her to cook more but having three kids mean her and husband Matt rarely have a romantic meal.

She said: “I can do a few things well so I tend to stick to that, I'm a creature of habit. But this show has kind of made me realise that actually that I need to maybe try a bit harder, it has inspired me.”

Cooking With The Stars starts next Tuesday at 9pm on ITV.
