Harry Cochrane reveals black out after Celtic goal as Hearts youngster explains Christophe Berra's role in strike

Hearts youngster Harry Cochrane admits he has no memory of the celebrations that followed his famous strike against Celtic in 2017.

The teenager struck the opening goal as Hearts thrashed the Hoops 4-0 to hand Brendan Rodgers his first defeat as Celtic boss.

It was also the Glasgow giants first defeat in 69 games in Scotland but Cochrane reveals he completely blacked out after the goal and doesn't remember anything apart from hitting the deck.

In an interview with former Hibs rival Marvin Bartley, the 18-year-old insists he felt no pressure on him when he was thrown in against Celtic.

He admits he was nervous but felt that playing against the Hoops meant there was no expectation on him and he could just play his own game.

Because of his age, he couldn't celebrate with a drink after the game and went to Nandos with his friends after heading home.

But when asked about his feelings in the build-up to the game and what the goal was like, he said: "I felt no pressure. I was nervous but it was Celtic, if you get beat you get beat, there’s not many people getting on at you but if you get a result it’s brilliant for you so I felt no pressure going into the game so I think that’s why I did so well.

"At the time I should have a shot before it, Christophe Berra had a go at me because I never shot. So as soon as it came to I knew I was shooting and I’ve got to be honest with you, as soon it went in I hit a blackout.

"I don’t know what happened. I remember hitting the deck but can’t remember much else.

"I couldn’t believe it, the whole game I was thinking I’ve scored but I can’t score and have a rubbish game. When I got took off I was thinking ‘Thank god man. I’ve done well, thank god I’m coming off now, job done surely’ and when the fans are clapping and you’re winning against Celtic it’s unreal.

"Aye it was only my dad at the game, my mum was away out shopping thing not to concentrate on it and said she got a text off my dad to say I scored so I try to make her go shopping every game I play.

"That night I went to Nando’s with my pals. I couldn’t have a drink at the time so had to be a Nando’s."
