Harry and Meghan find a new home among celebs at Madame Tussauds after split from the royals

The waxworks of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have found a new home at Madame Tussauds after being separated from the Royal Family.

The museum moved the couple away the royals last year and have now moved them into a Hollywood area of the London attraction, reports the Mirror.

The couple's likenesses will now be displayed alongside celebrities including Brad Pitt and the Beckhams in a new "Awards Party zone".

The museum said the decision reflected the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's "move from Frogmore to Hollywood".

It comes as Madame Tussauds prepares to reopen on May 17 following the next easing of coronavirus lockdown restrictions in England, reports the Mirror.

Harry and Meghan moved to Santa Barbara in California last year after announcing they would step back from their lives as senior members of the Royal Family.

Madame Tussauds said in a statement: "Harry and Meghan have moved zones - Madame Tussauds London has moved its figures of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to their brand new Awards Party zone to reflect their move from Frogmore to Hollywood."

In addition to their new location, the waxworks of the Sussexes have also changed clothes.

Harry will now be seen wearing an electric blue tie and Meghan has swapped a green dress for a matching blue one.

Other A-listers featured in the new exhibition include George Clooney and Nicole Kidman.

The museum's general manager, Tim Waters, said: “We cannot wait to open our doors to guests again from May 17 and get back to what we do best.

“We’ll be unveiling a host of exciting changes to the attraction and welcoming some new famous faces to our star-studded line-up that will help bring back the glamour and excitement that London has been craving, all in the safest way possible.”

England's third stage of reopening will also see cinemas, theatres and other entertainment venues able to open their doors.

As of next Monday, people from different bubbles will also finally be able to meet indoors as long as they stick to the rule of six or two households.

Outdoor gatherings will allow 30 people to meet, up from the current six or two households rule.
