Senior royals and officials at Buckingham Palace have reportedly been left "angry and confused" over the handling of Prince Harry and Meghan's announcement that they intend to quit royal duties.
The Queen and Prince Charles were left in the dark about the timing of the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes' statement which was posted to their Instagram and website yesterday.
Buckingham Palace said discussions with Harry and Meghan on their decision were “at an early stage”, warning the situation would be "complicated".
As the fallout continues, the duchess has reportedly returned to Canada as Harry remains in the UK to continue discussions with the royal family.
