Harry and Meghan Markle 'dine with J-Lo after being paid £390k for speaking gig'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry had dinner with pop star Jennifer Lopez and her fiancé Alex Rodriguez after speaking at a summit for billionaires, it is reported.

Fresh off performing during the Super Bowl halftime show, J-Lo is said to have invited the Sussexes and nine-month-old baby Archie to visit her Miami mansion.

The celebrity figures reportedly rubbed elbows after Harry, 35, spoke to an audience filled with wealthy entrepreneurs and investors at a JPMorgan summit in the Florida city.

They are said to have dined together at Habitat, a restaurant at the five-star 1Hotel South Beach, where Harry and Meghan were allegedly paid about £390,000 ($500,000) to appear at Friday's summit.

During his speech, Harry reportedly told the crowd he had no regrets about quitting royal life and revealed that he had been in therapy for years to help him through the "trauma" of losing his mum, Princess Diana, in a car crash in Paris in 1997.

In 2017, the 20th anniversary of Diana, Princess of Wales' death following a Paris car crash, Harry also spoke about how he had sought counselling after two years of "total chaos".

He admitted he had spent nearly two decades "not thinking" about the death of his mother.

In their first public appearance since leaving royal life, former Suits actress Meghan, 38, reportedly described her love for her husband before introducing him.

She was introduced by TV presenter and friend Gayle King, who is best pals with Oprah Winfrey.

Former Prime Minister Tony Blair, J-Lo and Rodriguez, a retired baseball legend, and New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft were among those in the crowd.

A source told Page Six: "Harry and Meghan got on really well with Jennifer and Alex, and spent some time chatting with them over dinner.

"J-Lo was overheard inviting the couple and their baby Archie to her and Alex’s house in Miami to spend time with them and their kids."

It is said that the Sussexes flew from Vancouver to Miami on a JPMorgan private jet, and the report also claimed they were paid half a million US dollars to appear.

It is also claimed they stayed at tennis legend Serena Williams' home.

A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said: "I can confirm reports the Sussexes attended a JP Morgan gathering in Miami, where the Duke spoke."

A spokesman for JP Morgan declined to comment.

The Sussexes are living in Canada with their baby son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor as they prepare to drop their HRH styles and quit the monarchy in favour of financial freedom.

Buckingham Palace said the Sussexes' new life away from royal duties will begin in the spring of this year.

There was speculation that Harrow and former Suits actress Meghan could show up at the Oscars in Hollywood on Sunday night.
