Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced the birth of their second child, a daughter named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared the arrival of their daughter, who was born on Friday 4 June, in an announcement Sunday 6 June.
In a statement on their Archewell website, the couple said: “On 4 June, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have ever imagined and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe.”
According to Harry and Meghan’s press secretary, Lili was born in Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California and weighed in at 7 lbs 11 oz. Both mother and child are “healthy and well, and settling in at home”.
The royal couple, who relocated to the US last year after stepping back from their roles as senior royals, also have a two-year-old son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
