A teenage girl was stabbed this morning during a daylight attack at a busy station in north west London.

The victim, believed to be aged 16, was attacked at Harrow-on-the-Hill Underground station just before 11am this morning.

The girl has been taken to hospital with what is believed to be a stab wound to the leg. She is not in a life-threatening condition.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: “Paramedics attended and a 16-year-old girl has been taken to hospital with an injury consistent with a stabbing.

"Thankfully, her condition is not believed to be life-threatening."

The station has been cordoned off by police and is currently closed.

There are some delays on the Metropolitan Line following the incident.

Greenhill Police tweeted: “Due to an ongoing investigation, Harrow On The Hill tube station is currently closed and there is disruption to the Metropolitan Line. We will keep you updated.”
