Harrison Ford spotted in UK village shooting scenes for new Indiana Jones films

Hollywood superstar Harrison Ford has been spotted in a sleepy North Yorkshire village shooting scenes for the new Indiana Jones movie.

The 78-year-old actor was flown in by helicopter to shoot scenes for the blockbuster’s fifth film, which will see him reprise his title role alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

The Star Wars and Blade Runner star was seen sporting the iconic high-crowned fedora and brown jacket in quaint Grosmont, nestled in the North York Moors.

The quiet village has been transformed for the film set, with a section of track nearby set up to shoot a daring escape from a Nazi prison camp during the second World War.

Filming began earlier this week in the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, with props such as tanks, guard towers and Nazi uniforms.

The village has been bubbling with excitement, with one woman tweeting that she had bumped into Harrison Ford’s stunt double.

Vicki Laven tweeted: “Look who walked right past us in Grosmont today, our son asked him if he was Indiana Jones and he tipped his hat and said no, he was just the stunt double.”

The film is due for release in July 2022.
