Harrison Ford injures shoulder ahead of filming Indiana Jones 5 in Glasgow

Harrison Ford has injured his shoulder ahead of filming Indiana Jones 5 in Glasgow - and his accident means producers are having to rejig some of the filming schedule while the star recuperates.

Harrison was recently spotted filming in Loch Lomond, The Highlands, The Borders and down south.

He is strongly rumoured to be coming to Glasgow in July for filming, and was rehearsing for a fight scene when he became injured.

Production is however expected to continue and the filming schedule will be juggled to accommodate the injury.

Disney confirmed: "In the course of rehearsing for a fight scene, Harrison Ford sustained an injury involving his shoulder.

"Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks."

The 78 year old actor has been walking and cycling up to 40 miles a day in between filming the fifth instalment of the film franchise directed by Wolverine's James Mangold.

Harrison broke his leg on Star Wars after being crushed by a heavy door on set in 2014.

In the Highlands, shooting saw a high-speed chase with two stunt performers racing against the backdrop of Buachaille Etive Mor on black World War Two era motorbikes.

The action adventure film which also stars Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen and Fleabags Phoebe Waller-Bridge is set to be released in July 2022.
