Harrison Ford fills up trolley in Waitrose as he's spotted grocery shopping in London

Harrison Ford has been pictured popping into a branch of Waitrose to stock up on healthy food during a break from filming the new Indiana Jones movie.

The Hollywood superstar was seen doing a food shop at a branch of the posh supermarket in London this week.

Harrison, 79, pushed his own trolley around the shop and piled it high with Ryvita snacks as well as meat-free burgers and a veggie pizza.

He wore sunglasses for this trip to the shops and was seen browsing the salad aisle with his shades on.

The actor hurt himself during rehearsals and has been taking some time off while it heals.

During his time in the UK, Harrison has been soaking up British culture and making the most of his chances to see the sights.

He’s been snapped chatting to locals while out for dinner in Newcastle and sightseeing in North Shields.

Production of the film has continued without him, with scenes being filmed in Glasgow last month - with the city doubling up for New York.

Last month, in a statement from Disney to Deadline, the studio said: "In the course of rehearsing for a fight scene, Harrison Ford sustained an injury involving his shoulder."

They added: "Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks."

According to The National, it looks like the film will be set in 1969 as signs are visible saying “Welcome to New York, Astronauts” and there are other references to Apollo 11.

Vintage cars were also visible on the set in Glasgow, with some resembling taxis, another black car, and a New York Fire Department Truck.

The fifth outing will be directed by Logan helmer James Mangold and also stars Hannibal actor Mads Mikkelsen, Avengers: Age of Ultron actor Thomas Kretschmann, Black Panther actress Shaunette Renée Wilson, and British thespian Toby Jones in supporting roles.

Composer John Williams will once again provide the score for the film, but Spielberg's old creative partner and Indiana Jones series co-creator George Lucas is not involved in the new film.

The character of Indiana Jones, which was created by Lucas, first debuted in the 1981 film Raiders of the Lost Ark.

He later returned for Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom in 1984 and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, before the fourth film in 2008.

*Indiana Jones 5 is due for release in cinemas on July 29, 2022.
