Harrison Ford and wife Calista Flockhart make rare appearance together in Croatia

Harrison Ford 's shoulder looked to be on the mend as he took in the sights of Croatia with wife Calista Flockhart as the couple made a rare appearance together.

The 79-year-old movie icon was injured while rehearsing a fight scene for upcoming movie Indiana Jones 5 in June.

He was spotted in London last month with his arm in a sling - and he isn't yet ready to get the cameras rolling on his scenes quite yet.

So the star and Calista, 56, headed for Croatia, and were seen taking in the beauty spots of Dubrovnik on Sunday.

They had a guided tour of the incredible city as the ageless couple smiled before grabbing some lunch in the shade.

They took it easy as the veteran actor recovers from a shoulder injury sustained on set.

They pair looked relaxed as Harrison wore khaki trousers and a grey T-shirt as they explored the area during their break.

Calista made the most of the warm weather with a light red-and-white dress.

Last year they celebrated their ten-year wedding anniversary having met on the red carpet of the Golden Globes eight years before.

Director Steven Spielberg branded himself 'an idiot' for allowing Harrison to do his own stunts for the flick - and said he quickly regretting the decision.

The good news for the film legend, his fans and the producers is that his arm appears to be on the mend, no longer needing the support of a sling.

Filming is now expected to re-start in the coming weeks and fans can't wait until it hits the big screen.

The final Indiana Jones movie was originally due for release in 2022, but it has been beset by problems.

Before the accident, shooting had already been pushed back as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

A statement from Disney confirmed the accident as execs support the star in his recovery before cameras begin rolling again.

"In the course of rehearsing for a fight scene, Harrison Ford sustained an injury involving his shoulder," it read.

Production will continue while the appropriate course of treatment is evaluated, and the filming schedule will be reconfigured as needed in the coming weeks."

An insider told The Sun' s Bizarre column: "After the initial delays everyone was raring to go. But now Harrison is injured and it is worse than first thought.

"The film's bosses have come together to work out the scheduling and it's chaos.

"The earliest they think they can restart the production is September.

"It was not what anyone was expecting so to have to change everything is a huge blow. Everyone was concerned for Harrison and they are glad he is on the mend."

It will be Harrison's last outing as Indiana, they have confirmed.
