A house has exploded in a village in Wisconsin, according to local police.
The explosion - confirmed by the Calumet County Sheriff's Department - levelled the house in Harrison.
At least two people were believed to have been injured in the blast, with emergency authorities on the scene. A number of local residents have been evacuated as a precaution.
The explosion happened about 8am, with the property located on the north shore of Lake Winnebago.
“The whole hillside just shook,” nearby resident Steve Macrander told local media.
“You heard the reverberation go across the lake and come all the way back,” he said according to the Appleton Post-Crescent.
Mr Macrander said the house was destroyed and an adjacent home was severely damaged.
Calumet County Officials said the home is a seasonal residence and that no one was home at the time of the explosion.
A number of local residents have been left without power, with local police telling people to avoid the area.
