1. English was born in Valdosta, Georgia on the July 23, 1989.
2. From 2003 to 2007, he attended Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he led the golf team to four state titles. He also won one individual state title in high school.
3. English attended the University of Georgia and played on the same team as Russell Henley, Brian Harman and Patrick Reed.
4. At the University of Georgia, he studied Consumer Economics and graduated in 2011.
5. English is a fan of the Georgia Bulldogs college football team and supports the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL.
6. English won the 2011 Southern Amateur, joining the likes of Bobby Jones, Lanny Wadkins, Ben Crenshaw, Justin Leonard and Webb Simpson as champions.
7. Before making the jump to professional golf, English won the 2011 Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational to become just the third amateur ever to triumph on the circuit. He followed Daniel Summerhays and former teammate, Henley into the history books.
8. He competed for Team USA at the 2011 Walker Cup in Scotland. Although English won both of his singles matches to go 2-2 for the week, the Americans - whose team featured the likes of Patrick Cantlay, Jordan Spieth and Peter Uihlein - fell to a 14-12 defeat overall.
9. English turned professional in September 2011 and began life in the paid ranks on the Nationwide Tour (now the Korn Ferry Tour). His pro debut was at the Soboba Golf Classic.
10. He lost in a playoff to Danny Lee in just his second-ever professional start, at the WNB Golf Classic.

11. English earned his PGA Tour card via a T13th-place finish at Q-School in December 2011.
12. Growing up his favorite players were Davis Love III and Fred Couples.
13. English has five PGA Tour victories from over 350 starts. The first arrived in his sophomore year at the 2013 FedEx St Jude Classic.
14. English was involved in the second-longest playoff in PGA Tour history when defeating Kramer Hickok on the eighth extra hole at the 2021 Travelers Championship.

15. Three things on his bucket list are skydiving, flying in an F16 and driving a NASCAR vehicle.
16. He also likes to hunt and revealed that one of his best experiences outside of golf was shooting an 11-point buck.
17. English describes himself as a 'Jeopardy' TV show fanatic.

18. English made his Ryder Cup debut for Team USA at the 2021 edition at Whistling Straits. He secured one point from three matches as the American team won 19-9.
19. He currently resides in Sea Island, Georgia with his wife Helen Marie and their daughter Emilia.
20. English uses a 1989 quarter to mark his ball when playing golf to represent the year he was born.
