Harris Creative's directors carry out management buy-out to take control of the firm

The directors of a construction marketing firm have taken over the running of the business after carrying out a management buy-out.

Neil Craven and Kirsty Scott have successfully carried out an MBO of Leeds firm Harris Creative following a strong 12 months for the business, which saw the company secure nine new clients.

Mr Craven was formerly Harris Creative's design director, while Ms Scott joined the company in 2017 as PR director.

The duo will now both hold the title of joint managing director.

In a statement, the firm said: "The MBO comes during what has already been a successful year for us where, despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, we secured nine new clients in the past 12 months, including CMOStores.com, Axis Envelope Solutions, and CLD Fencing.

"It also takes place as we celebrate 35 years of business, with the MBO paving the way for our founder and former longstanding managing director Jim Harris to retire. Jim founded Harris in 1986 as an architectural photography practice, and we have since seen a sustained growth, adding graphic design, public relations, web design and development, social media management and videography services to our offering in line with client demand."

Following the MBO, Faye Harris-Frist will be promoted from PR account director to head of PR. Matt Bornshin leaves his role as a digital developer to become head of digital while Karla López Crowley will now work as head of social media.

Harris Creative is a marketing agency that provides a range of services, including PR and content, social media, advertising, digital marketing, design and photography.
