Harper Macleod promote five new partners

Law firm Harper Macleod has unveiled five new partners across Scotland as it steps up its drive to boost its share of the legal market.

The promotions of Andrew Upton in dispute resolution, Collette Miller and Jill Fryer in public sector and social housing and Scott Milligan and Lorna Davis in the employment team, take the the partner total to 67.

Firm chairman Lorne Crerar said: “I am thrilled to have these fantastic colleagues join me as partners of Harper Macleod.

“While legal business models are changing the ambition of many young lawyers remains to make partner one day and its a great pleasure to be able to reward their tireless efforts by making that dream a reality.”

He said he was sure the new partners would contribute to the success of the firm over the coming years.

The new partners are spread throughout Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness.

Chief executive Martin Darroch said: “These promotions come as the firm enters the next financial year in a position of real strength.
